Professional supervision

As stipulated in Government Decree No. 320/2010. (XII. 27.) of the Government on tGovernment Office of the Capital City Budapest (Office) and the Regional Metrology and Technical Safety Authorities, the tasks of the metrology and technical safety are performed at county level by the competent government offices; the second instance authority at national level is Government Office of the Capital City Budapest (Office). The professional activities of metrology and technical safety authorities are supervised by the minister responsible for industrial affairs. In implementing these supervisory tasks, the minister receives professional contribution on behalf of MKEH.

• Metrology and Technical Safety Authority (Budapest) of the Government Office of the Capital City Budapest has jurisdiction over Budapest City;
• Metrology and Technical Safety Authority (Debrecen) of the Government Office of Hajdú-Bihar County has jurisdiction over counties Hajdú-Bihar, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok;
• Metrology and Technical Safety Authority (Győr) of the Government Office of Győr-Moson-Sopron County has jurisdiction over counties Győr-Moson-Sopron, Zala and Vas;
• Metrology and Technical Safety Authority (Miskolc) of the Government Office of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County has jurisdiction over counties Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Heves and Nógrád;
• Metrology and Technical Safety Authority (Pécs) of the Government Office of Baranya County has jurisdiction over counties Baranya, Somogy and Tolna;
• Metrology and Technical Safety Authority (Szeged) of the Government Office of Csongrád County has jurisdiction over counties Bács-Kiskun, Csongrád and Békés;
• Metrology and Technical Safety Authority (Székesfehérvár) of the Government Office of Fejér County has jurisdiction over counties Fejér and Veszprém.
