Gas appliances intended to use in industrial, agricultural and service processes

Gas appliances, equipment and establishment intended for use in industrial agricultural and service processes are under technical safety authority supervision.

The processing fees are determined by the Decree No. 20/2010. (XII. 31.) NGM of the Minister of National Economy.

The duty of the government offices competent for authoritative tasks in metrology and technical safety:

a) Make decision about the approval of certain gas appliances and gas technologies with nominal heat input above 70 kW on the score of gas safety check before starting to use the gas appliances. Trial operation can be conducted before making decision. Operational tests should be carried out during the trial operation, which establish the approval.

b) Verify the compliance with specific technical safety regulations and standards during installation and operation of the specific gas appliances on the site

c) Investigate the circumstances and causes of the incidents determined in specific rule and take measures to prevent the similar occurrence

The following gas appliances are excluded from the administrative proceedings of the government offices competent for authoritative tasks in metrology and technical safety:

a) Appliances burning gaseous fuels used for cooking, heating, hot water production, refrigeration, lighting or washing and having, where applicable, a normal water temperature not exceeding 105 °C.

b) Forced draught burners and heating bodies to be equipped with such burners.

c) Gas appliances covered by Decree No. 22/1998. (IV. 17.) IKIM, which are certified according to 2009/142/EC (earlier 90/396/EEC) directive relating to appliances burning gaseous fuels (GAD). These appliances and fittings according to guidance sheet A1 to 2009/142/EC (earlier 90/396/EEC) directive, that is neither a legally binding interpretation of the directive nor can it formally commit authorities or Notified Bodies, are the following:
