Short description of speciality

These products are determined by the ministerial decree 35/2016. (IX. 27.) NGM rendelet (hereafter: NGM decree). Directive 2014/34/EU is transposed to Hungarian law by NGM decree.

The products of speciality are called in brief explosion-proof products. Potentially explosive atmosphere is an atmosphere in which a mixture with air of flammable gases, vapours, mists or dusts can come into being. Directive 2014/34/EU is usually called ATEX directive. The ATEX name is an acronym that springs from French designation of explosive atmosphere (atmosphères explosibles).

The Authority deal with equipments and protective systems belong to equipment-group II determined by 3. § point 26. of NGM decree. These explosion-proof equipments are not intended for use in mines. The Supervisory Authority of Regulated Activities task is the market surveillance of equipments belong to equipment-group I.
