EC conformity assessment provide for the producer better condition than the former national verification when the instrument placed on the market:
The CE mark affixed on measuring instrument gives evidence of conformity of measuring instrument. The CE mark completed with the declaration of conformity (drawn up by the producer) and some case with the certification of conformity (issued by a notified body) .
The producers have to ensure for EC conformity (for example EC verification) and it is not allowed for the owner of measuring instrument to ask for it.
The legal consequence of EC mark is the same as for the verification:
MKEH is a EU notified body (1422), the other notified bodies you can find in the NANDO database.
EC conformity assessment can be done according the decree 62/2004/GKM implementing the NAWI directive 90/384/EK (2009/23/EK) or according the decree 8/2006/GKM implementing the MID directive 22/2004/EK.
The CE conformity mark for MID:
On this example the “11” is the last two digit of the number of year, 1422 is the number of the notified body.
In the case of NAWI there is not any border and there is a green sticker bearing capital letter M.
