Calibration: set of operations that establish, under specified conditions, the relationship between values of quantities indicated by a measuring instrument ore a measuring system, or values represented by a material measure ore a reference material, and the corresponding values realized by standards.

The traceability chain from the national standard to the secondary ore working standards of the domestic calibration laboratories is usually realized by calibration. The laboratories of MKEH Metrology Authority also do special high accuracy measurements and measuring instrument calibration if it is conformable with their regulation and if it fits in their legal calibration time table. Calibration of measuring instrument for use is made only in such a case and form that no unfair race condition can draw up against the domestic accredited calibration laboratories. This regulation is corresponds to the international recommendations (CIPM-ILAC, EURAMET) for national offices of measures.

Calibration of measuring instrument, preparation of certified reference materials and any individual spatial measurement are based on quotation which of tariff corresponds to the MKEH director-general direction. These internationally accepted measuring capabilities can be find in the BIPM CMC database in English, based on the CIPM-MRA agreement.
