Main responsibilities of department:
- Perform the precious metal articles - and others - marking of care in accordance with legal requirements;
- Arrange for safekeeping of hallmarking punches and tools and the precious metal articles tested;
- Give permit about hallmarking or / and responsibility marking from an approval or dismissal;
- Perform the hallmarking applications for private individuals based on professional criteria assessment;
- Operates of the precious metal run administration - and work processes;
- Operates the precious objects logistics management procedures;
- Initiate a calibration and test equipment required by their purchase or exchange;
- Initiate a hallmarking materials and equipment related to the operation area;
- Preparing of electronic data of laser responsibility mark file;
- Co-operate with the competent agencies of the National Tax and Customs Administration in relation of the marking of the precious metal articles;
- Classifies the precious metal objects and products after examination,
- Prepare and expend the material test report,
- Perform the homogeneity assaying and sampling according to specifications,
- Classifies the touchstone needles with suitable components for required hallmarked precious metal objects,
- Determine the precious metal content of: mining materials, industrial products, catalyzers, precious metal blocks, semiproducts and wastes,
- Analyse the pure precious metals impurity content,
- Determine the other metal contents of precious metals,
- Organise, manage and control the logistic system of precious metal blocks certification,
- Provide the safe storage and saving of authentication device,
- Responsable for acquiring and maintaining of laboratory accreditation given by National Accreditation Body,
- Organize the participation in international circuit analyses in material testing area,
- Represent the Office in international professional events,
- Prepare once a year the summary of precious metal content residual samples,
- Supply the tasks in connection with quality and FEUVE prosegers of department activity.
