Special Licensing

Editor:
Katócs Péter

Following the EU accession of the Republic of Hungary, a so called „special licensing” of activities remained in force on import, re-export and export activities with certain goods through the Hungarian cross-border. Goods, subject to special licensing are determined in Annex 3 of Government Decree 110/2004.(IV.28.) Korm. on the cross-border or cross-tariff border trade in goods, services and rights representing material value on trade.

Rules of procedure to special licensing are regulated by the minister of economy and transport in implementing decree 67/2004.(IV.28.) GKM.

The Hungarian Trade Licensing Office as the competent authority – to whom applications for these licences can be submitted – issued a specific announcement with detailed information on special licensing of various product groups, not including military goods and services, in the official journal „Gazdasági Közlöny” and in information newspaper „Gazdasági Tájékoztató”and on its website.
