Trade Unit

a) Import and export licensing tasks in connection with certain goods, services and countries referred to task, responsibility and competence of the Authority by the EU or other legislation, and restrictions which do not affect the competence of other departments;

b) Import licensing tasks in connection with certain goods and countries by EU legislation international economic treaties and other legislation, operating protective measures, quantitative restrictions and surveillances, handling of system of securities for agricultural products;

c) Official duties in relation to FLEGT licensing scheme for imports of timber into the European Community by the Council Regulation (EC) No 2173/2005 of 20 December 2005 on the establishment of a FLEGT licensing scheme for imports of timber into the European Community;

d) Representation and enforcement of the Hungarian interests in the field of foreign trade in EU institutions (committees, working groups);

e) Establishment of conditions of export and technical cooperation of live snails with the competent authorities and professional organisations by non harmonized special legislation, licensing of export authorisation;

f) Licensing and registration duties regarding placing on the market, export and import of drug precursors, on-site inspection of operators, collecting and processing data for statistical and control purposes, organising and maintaining of national and international cooperation;

g) As a competent authority represents the Hungarian position regarding surveillance of drug precursors and participates in development of it in the EU institutions (committees, working groups);

h) Coordinating, controlling and reporting tasks set in the Cooperation Agreements concluded by the Office;

i) Participation in development of statistical and customs control system related to authorization activities;

k) perform official duties specified in regulations on the marketing and use of explosives precursors
