Licensing registering and monitoring tasks in connection with tour agent and tour operator activities

The Government Office of the Capital City Budapest as a trade authority licenses, registers and monitors the travel enterprises.

Here you can find those travel enterprises which activity in connection with tour operating and tour agency has been banned for a year.

The process of licensing travel enterprises

In Hungary only those travel enterprises can work whom meets the requirements of law 2005 CLXIV. and Government Decree 213/1996.(XII.23) and the Government Office of the Capital City Budapest gave them a license.

Tour agent and tour operator activity can only done with the license of the trade authority.

The blank for the license can be handed in by post, personally or by electronic way.

The blank should contain the data’s appointed in Government Degree 213/1996 (XII.23). You can find the blank at the webpage of Government Office of the Capital City Budapest. You should attach to the blank all the documents that the law ordered.

You must fill in all the fields in the blank.

You must pay administrative service fee. 

The fee is the following:

in connection with licensing tour agent and tour operator activity: 10.000 HUF.

Notificating data changes and withdrawing license is also 10.000 HUF.

You can pay the fee by cash-transfer(check) or with bank transfer to account number 10023002-00309653-00000000. Check can be found at the Government Office of the Capital City Budapest (1124 Budapest, Németvölgyi út 37-39.). You can not pay by cash.

You have to verify that you paid the fee when you hand in the blank.
