Notificating and registering tasks in connection with tour guiding service provision
According to Order 33/2009.(XII.18.) the person who wants to be a registered tour guide have to have a tour guiding qualification. The tour guiding service provision can be continued only in those languages which the tour guide has a language exam.
Here you can find the list of the registered tour guides.
The notification must contain the following datas:
- name of the service provider
- address of the service provider
- name of the activity what the service provider wants to do.
- language or languages in which the service provider wants to do his/her activity.
You must also attach the following documents:
- copy of the tour guiding qualification
- copy of the language certification(s)
- 2 photos
- confirmation of paying the 10.000 HUF processing fee
- copy of the identity card
The process
During the process the department analyse if the notification and the documents meets the requirement of the Law 2009. LXXVI. The department informs the provider within 8 days whether the notification is correct or not.
If the notification meets the requirements of the Law 2009 LXXVI. and the processing fee was paid the department verify the notification by sending a letter.
If the notification doesn’t meet the requirements of the Law 2009. LXXVI. or the processing fee wasn’t paid than the department warns the provider that the activity will be sanctioned. The department also identifies the shortcomings of the notification.
The Government Office of the Capital City Budapest issues a tour guiding card for the tour guides.
They are the following datas on the tour guiding card:
- name of the authority and the stamp of the authority
- number of the card and the date of the issue.
- the name of the provider
- language/languages
The Government Office of the Capital City Budapest registers the provider within 15 days and post the data’s of the registry in the Internet.
The notification blank can be handed in by post, personally or by electronic way.
