Industrial Products (Textile, Potassium-Chloride, Imports of iron and steel products)

The majority of goods can be imported into the European Union without necessity of applying for an import licence.

Currently The Hungarian Trade Licensing Office issues import licences for a small range of industrial products in accordance with European Community legislation, in the following categories:

• POTASSIUM CHLORIDE ORIGINATING IN BELARUS

• TEXTILE PRODUCTS
• Imports of iron, steel and aluminium products

These licensing provisions are taken either due to administration of quantitative import quotas at those products and origins where the imported volume is to be restricted, or because of surveillance measurements prior to the import transaction so that volumes imported may be monitored in advance.
